The ATO is urging employers to pay super and send employee information electronically by using SuperStream before the 30 June deadline approaches. SuperStream is an efficient system which has statistically proven to have reduced employers’ time spent on super by 70%. There are solutions available for employers who do not operate electronically, for example, employers have the choice to allow their bookkeeper or accountant to access SuperStream on their behalf or to use their fund’s online payment system or ATO’s free Small Business Superannuation Clearing House.
It is encouraged to start testing your SuperStream solution now to ease any stress around the deadline.
